So I've landed in Toronto. I live in a big and beautiful house and while she's not here right now, my roomate is an awesome girl I met the last time I worked with FTC. Strange to think I'm back again. It feels like moving back to UofT but instead of starting don training tomorrow morning I'll be going to work at my big girl job with my dream organization. GAH.
Sadly, between leaving home this afternoon and arrive at my new abode I seem to have fallen ill. I feel terrible - freezing, achey, ashen faced. And it allstarted with an innocent sore throat between Brighton and Port Hope...
I don't get it, I've been taking it easy, haven't been feeling stress and getting lots of sleep. Why now?? Uhg, at least I have the room to myself tonight. Pleeeease be better by morning. I need to impress! Aaaaahhhhhhhh... *weep*

I am about to move back to Toronto.
And by that I still have to finish my laundry, clean my room and pack and all that jazz.
FAIL.

I have started keeping a diary and I have to admit, it's becoming an obsession. It is also probably the only thing keeping me sane right now.
Class is now officially over for me. Not just in an out-for-summer kind of way but in a congrats-you're-finished-school-period-now-you-have-to-be-a-real-person kind of way.
I move back to Toronto next Saturday.
I'm so excited to start working at FTC.
I'm depressed about everything else.

So far this week I...
- Was voted as the class valedictorian for my PR program. Why, I'm not sure. All I know is that I now need to come up with one crazy/awesome speech.
- Was nominated for and chosen to receive the Loyalist Student Leadership award. I honestly don't really think I deserve it, but I'm really humbled nonetheless.
- Pitched an idea in class that my team and I came up to that wound up being the client's favourite
- Received a copy of the Warchild Heroes CD as a gift from my contact at Warchild for helping him with a contest. It is awesome. You should buy it. Help support the great work they do + get music all at the same time!
- Paid my bills on time.
- Bought a pretty rockin' Loyalist College hoodie and have no regrets. It is pink and cozy and just plain grand.
- Was relatively quite productive all around.
So I guess it has been a pretty good week.
I am however, kicking myself for having a full day tomorrow. A friend went to Niagara Falls tonight on a whim and if I didn't have so much to do tomorrow, I could have gone with. I hate a missed opportunity to travel >:[

WHAT is with my obnoxious need to always know what others are thinking? And I don't mean that I need to know what they're thinking about ME, it just drives me nuts when I can't tell! Are you picking up what I'm putting down here?
In other, unrelated news, I had myself so stressed out last night that I made myself sick. I woke up this morning with my body on strike. I am in SO much pain right now. Seriously, OW.
And finally, there's a guy from university who I knew back in second year and who is still on my msn list and pops up every now and again. He never really has anything to say and usually asks me all the same questions. Oh, and he's totally a creeper.

QUESTION:
I guess you can't bring food with you on a flight over the border, can you?
I'm flying to Minnesota on the 20th to see Oliver. Because we'll be apart for Valentine's, we're going to celebrate once I'm there and I really, REALLY want to try and make this for him.
Isn't that incredible??
But I want it to be a surprise. Baking it there just wouldn't be the same (although I'm sure we'd have some fun making it together too)
Any ideas?

Why yes, I did go to Washington DC for the inauguration of President Barack Obama. I have pictures and crazy stories to tell and everything!
And yes, we have two beautiful little she-puppies squirming about in our midst right now. One is black, one is white and both are precious. Their eyes are just starting to open too.
But right now
The only thing on my mind (is not the faux press release I should be writing for the Ottawa Senators)
Is the fact that I just found out
For sure

That I will be doing my internship at Free the Children in Toronto this April.

So I'm looking at getting a blog off the ground that is different from this one and I'm wondering if you lot could help a sister out.
I love LJ and I love this account but I'm starting to wonder if it's really the best platform for a professional blog (Now, when I say that I don't mean that I want it to be work related. I'm just looking to start something more serious that I could really use to build my personal brand).
I'm looking for something that's easy enough to use while still being highly customizable and easy for other users to interact with. Are there any blogging sites outside of LJ that you really love?
I've used Blogger and I liked it but I haven't really taken the time to see just how customizable it really is. What about Wordpress? Something else?
Or should I stay right here on LJ? Do you have any favourite examples of people taking their LJ to a whole new level? It would be kind of useful to not have to learn a whole new interface.
Anyway, that post was longer than intended but I appreciate any feedback you all can give!
